For this discussion, identify the group you are in through the Discussion Groups and everyone completes the following:
Group 1: Discuss the role of global nursing and the implications for practice when caring for American Indian or Alaskan Native population. Apply transcultural or patient-centered care as it relates to professional nursing.
Group 2:( I belong to this group) Describe the nurse as a facilitator and the importance of family support in the American Indian and Alaskan Native population. Apply transcultural or patient-centered care as it relates to professional nursing in your reply.
Group 3: Perform a search for a peer-reviewed evidence-based research article addressing advocacy and support for the American Indian and Alaska Native population. Provide a URL of a support service that you might offer this population and explain the resource. How might you present the information to the patient and or family and how is this patient-centered care?
