AARON AND LINDA
How They Met
Twenty-four years old, Aaron started going to the “Golden Gate” Restaurant in San Francisco every day. He was not only fond of the golden fried catfish served daily.
It was the place where he met twenty-four years old Linda, one of the waitresses and sometimes the cook. Linda was an aspiring actress, waiting for a big break in the movie industry. She liked to be surround by a lot of people. She was an extrovert.
Aaron was an artist of some sort, more like a craftsman. He creates all kinds of beautiful ceramic home décors such as: vases, mosaic ornaments, wall hanging status, porcelain flowers, decorative cups, farmhouse basin, toys, figurines, planters and more. Aaron loved the quietness of life and did not care for having a lot of people surround him all the time. He was an introvert.
At first sight Aaron wanted to get to know Linda. She was beautiful to him and made him laugh a lot from her comical conversations. Finally, after about a month’s time, he got up the nerve to ask her for a date. She accepted.
They fell in love and after dating for six months of dating, they got married.
Linda Get A Movie Career Break
Within a year of their marriage Linda auditioned and got the break she sought in a big movie production as the star. This was her lifetime goal. She had to leave San Francisco and reside closer to the production studio.
Aaron did not want to hold her back from her lifetime, dream goal. He didn’t want them separated but he was willing to try to make it work with his staying in San Francisco.
In order for Linda to be able to afford rent in Los Angeles, she had to rent a house with four other room mates who were also seeking movie careers. A couple of her room mates were males.
Upon a surprise visit to see his wife, Aaron entered where she lived with one of her male roommates opening the door with just a towel wrapped around the lower portion of his body. This did not set well with Aaron. He began to have doubts about Linda’s activities with her male roommate. Linda managed to assure her husband that she was only living there to afford her stay in the Los Angeles area.
Aaron was still in doubt about what Linda told him.
Aaron and Linda’s Marriage
While Linda still resided in Los Angeles getting to star in movies here and there, Aaron soon moved back to his small town where his father was still living. Aaron also had carpentry skills. He and some of the other carpenters in the small blue ridge mountainous town in Virginia build him a small house next door his dad’s home. A small shop was added to Aaron’s small house where he continued crafting different items for sale.
Aaron didn’t bother to get a divorce from Linda in the ten years of their separation. He figured she would soon or later divorce him. He did not want the expense of a divorce for himself and decided that since he would never marry again, getting a divorce wasn’t necessary.
Aaron and Linda kept in touch by telephone and were friendly and supportive of each other. He followed her movie career and felt she did a good job as an actress. He liked Linda. To him she was pretty and still could make him laugh, even after eight years of not seeing her in person. Their communication was mostly through occasional telephone calls. He sent her money from time to time between acting roles and when she requested money to help her out.
Aaron’s life in the small town was satisfying to him. He not only had. community of friends but he loved the mountains and the peacefulness of the small-town community. Folks were always willing to give each other a helping hand.
He met someone who shared the same quiet life in the mountainous town. She was also an artist. Megan was a successful mystery novelist. She had come to the mountainous town to get inspired and away from her life in the big city.
Linda Quits Her Movie Career
With ten years of separation and not seeing each other, Linda gave Aaron a surprise visit at his home in Virginia. They were still legally married. She quit her movie career job because she was not given prime movie roles. Her age of thirty-five years had become a factor for playing young actress’s roles. She was offered roles like someone’s mother or commercial roles. Even though she earned a substantial amount of money as an actress, she spent it at will and is not broke. She asked Aaron for a second chance.
