Description
Choose a character from a television show, movie, or book you enjoy that seems to experience a mood disorder such as depression. Use the attached document, “Suggested Character List,” to help select a character. In 500-750 words write a case presentation (e.g., Client presents as a 24-year-old Caucasian male…) and intervention plan that describes the set of symptoms that are apparent in the character and how you would intervene.
Include the following:
Part 1:
General Information: Name of show, movie, or book, year produced, name of the character and their age, ethnicity, religion, marital status, and living arrangements
Presumable Family History: Family of origin, relationship with parents, spouse, siblings, and others
Social History: Significant relationships, social support, and nature/quality of relationships
Present Difficulties: Concerns, symptoms, onset, duration, frequency, and impact to daily life. Refer to Social Work Disposition #7: Standard: Social Workers’ Ethical Responsibilities to Clients when completing this portion of the assignment.
Part 2:
Create a Treatment Plan for this character using the attached document. Be sure to use SMART goals.
You will need to submit two documents for this assignment.
