Lab 1: Getting Started with R, RStudio and Quarto
This lab is designed to help you practice using RStudio, Quarto, and R to generate a simple report. RStudio is an Integrated development environment (IDE) that provides a user-friendly interface for working with R and Quarto. Quarto allows you to insert R code chunks and generate well-formatted documents and reports.
Complete the following questions in a Quarto document (.qmd). In RStudio, follow File -> New File -> Quarto Document to start a Quarto document template. You may also use this lab assignment description as a starting point.
Before starting this lab, it is recommended that you review the tutorial “Getting Started with R Prepared Using Quarto” on Canvas in the “Computer Tools and Dataset” module. Additionally, watching the tutorial video “Get started with Quarto” by Mine Çetinkaya-Rundel is strongly recommended.
