Having a purpose, or a goal, drives us to action. This “drive” is also what creates a sense of self-motivation. In this activity, you will create an academic or career goal using the DAPPS method. DAPPS goals are Dated, Achievable, Personal, Positive, and Specific. Our goals are often tied to our dreams or our life plan. Take some time to think about your dreams and your plan for your life, and then complete the following assignment.
Directions
Students will create two goals using the DAPPS method; one goal should be a short-term academic goal and one should be a long-term career goal using the DAPPS Method.
Next, write one paragraph for each goal detailing how you will reach those goals.
