Instructionsn(I AM A INFP)
In this class, we learn a lot about the material through learning about ourselves.  Self-awareness is not only a key to success in this class but also in life. Click here (Links to an external site.) to take the personality test known as the “Meyers-Briggs Test Instrument”.  After you take the test, read the full type description then make one post and one reply.
Post: Click “Reply”. Start your post by stating your results (the four letters).  In one paragraph, tell us one characteristic that the test revealed about you that you agree with and one that you don’t agree with.  Overall, was the test pretty accurate or not?
Reply: Reply to a peer’s post that got the same four letters as you.  If no one else gets the same four letters as you then respond to someone with three letters that are the same as yours. Write about what you have in common with the person and/or what you think about the content of their post.
Bonus
The MBTI is actually a very contested measure of personality even though it is widely used in schools, businesses, organizations, etc. You can read this article for more info on the validity of the MBTI. (Links to an external site.)

The results of the test show that I am an INTP. I read that this is sometimes referred to as the “Logician”.  I am definitely an introvert, although people who do not know me well tend to think I am an extrovert because I am not shy. As the results pointed out, I live in my own head most of the time. This habit makes socializing exhausting. I am constantly analyzing and theorizing, even sometimes debating with myself internally. That’s also how I got the “N” and the “T” in my result. So when I am socializing, I am analyzing myself, the situation, the environment, the person or people I’m talking to, etc. It can be very mentally draining. Socializing for me is kind of like hiking. I enjoy it when I do it but it exhausts me so I don’t do it often. I read that INTPs sometimes get details wrong in stories not because they are trying to lie but because they theorize so much about the happenings in every situation that they can’t always remember what the truth was. I felt that. ??? As for the “P”, I do like to figure things out as I go but it depends heavily on the situation. I really like to research so I usually do that with ideas or tasks but once I feel comfortable with something then I like to experiment.
