Description
MUST USE EXCEL SHEET PROVIDED! calculate the building square footage
using two methods. Method 1 is the gross building perimeter square
footage calculation with deductions for the open areas. Method 2 adds
component building areas with no deductions for open areas outside the
building perimeter. Remember to enter your Method 1 deductions by using a
minus sign (-) in cells A38, A39 and A40. The totals for Method 1 will
automatically fill in cells D1, D2 and D3 and the total will appear in
cell D5. I recommend that you start with the Third Floor as there are no
open areas and only one method of calculation. Then go to the Second
Floor which only has one deduction. Once in the swing of things, tackle
the First Floor.
