Problem: You live in a small, yet innovative town called “E-City.” After an economic recession ripped through E-City, the community leaders radically reimagined the role of anchor institutions. Specifically, the leaders are focused on the e-hospital and e-university to shoulder economic development. As a leader within the e-university, you can play a small role in a broader economic development solution. Therefore, you are trying to determine the areas where you can drive positive change using business analytics.

When studying the ways that you can positively contribute towards economic growth, you hypothesize that:
H1: The opening and closing of local businesses within E-City are dependent upon education levels.
H2: University recruitment will increase economic stability.
To test your hypothesis, you run an OLS linear regression and analyze the R, R Squared, and p-Value. Then, you run a Chi-Square Pearson test to determine the goodness-of-fit of the model and if your results are statistically significant.
