CJA 3220 Ethics in Criminal Justice

Description

For this assignment, you need to choose an ethical topic in criminal justice where you believe something should be changed or modified. You will identify the critical concepts of the areas of concern and address how this issue affects society, the criminal justice system, and individuals. You would discuss your ethical issue’s pros and cons and decide how you would better react to the ethical issues and consequences that occur if change or acknowledgment is not obtained.
Questions that could be asked are, how should the situation be rectified? How would funding be obtained? How would changing views make a difference? Would the situation be maintained without change? What are the issues with the current structure, and how would you create change?
All areas should be countered and backed up with scholarly materials that express the concern and confirm your thoughts. In other words, if you believe the issue in ethics needs “more community policing,” you will find journal articles that are consistent with the need for community policing and the benefits these concepts prove.
You will need a working title and a 250-word detailed explanation for this assignment- read below. The title is very important to this assignment.  Identify the working title of your paper/presentation. The title should identify the main ideas in your research. The title should be more than just a word or two and should be self-explanatory, meaning by looking at the topic, someone can reverse-engineer it using the library and other databases to identify many of the sub-topics you are likely to cover.
Example of a title and content:   The Impact of the Sicilian Mafia in America; A Grounded Theory Overview of Organized Crime and Neighborhood Crime Impacts.
