As a special education leader, one component of your job is training teachers, or, if you are a
teacher, you will need to train a paraprofessional to implement behavior management
interventions for students with special needs. For this assignment, read the article below and
choose 1 evidence-based behavior management intervention/strategy for students with
disabilities (you may select one from your readings) and create a 3–5-minute training video for
your specific audience. Your video must include:
• The situations in which the intervention might be appropriate.
• Specific instructions regarding how to implement the intervention.
• A list of free resources the audience can use to learn more.
• You must utilize and cite 3 or more references, including the one listed below, to
adequately complete your training video; at least 2 of these must be peer-reviewed
journal articles of your choosing that pertain to the behavior management intervention.
o Be sure to include your references in your video recording or attach a document to
your submission with a list of your references.
• The video must be recorded in a professional location (such as a classroom or home
office) and professional dress and verbiage are required.
Your video may be created using any technological tool of your choice. Two examples are
creating a YouTube video or a PowerPoint with a voiceover, if desired.
