To kick off your second semester of practicum placement, please share your reflections on last semester’s seminar (SWK 6535) experience using the following guiding questions:What did you learn last semester that you want to build upon in the next 15 weeks?What are some areas or processes that are still somewhat unclear or confusing to you and how can you address this in your internship? Can your classmates be helpful? How can your instructor be helpful?What are your goals for your internship this semester (e.g., an increased caseload, increased participation in meetings, more opportunities to advocate, grant writing experience)? What are your must-haves? How do you want to deepen your social work skills at your internship (e.g., assessment, outreach, co-facilitation in groups)?Are there populations or settings that you would like more exposure to (e.g., more diverse clients, different settings, access to mezzo and macro activities)? How can you make sure you get that?What changes, if any, do you want to make in how you participate in this seminar class (e.g., increased participation, increased mindfulness to think critically and integrate feedback from peers and your instructor)?
